BECAUSE we spay and neuter all cats, we help prevent unplanned litters.  BECAUSE all cats are FELV-FIV negative and have current FVRCP, we help prevent the spread of feline leukemia and feline aids.  BECAUSE all cats are microchipped, we find them when they are lost.  BECAUSE we work diligently at keeping our animal friends healthy, we have more adoptable cat, bird and small mammal companions. BECAUSE you help us, we are able to help more animals find loving homes and families.

CatNap from the Heart is a nonprofit no-kill animal shelter located in LaGrange Park, Illinois.  We have approximately 2,500 square feet and we specialize in the rescue and adoption of cats, kittens, birds and small mammals.

We are holding our annual fundraiser on Saturday November 1st, at Park Place of Countryside in Countryside, Illinois.  This event will feature a buffet dinner, hors d'ouerves, cash bar, silent auction, paddle auction, raffles, and a pet photo contest.  Music will be provided by Studio Replay.  Cost is $80 per person, including pet photo contest entry.  Table discount (8 tickets for $600).

 Our online auction will have items that:

  • are available online only
  • available online and transition to live event
  • available at event only

Our event will feature auction items priced for everyone's budget.

This event will raise funds to assist us with our increasing veterinary bills.  All of our cas and kittens are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.  They are tested negative for FIV and FeLV.  They are up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. 

Last year we adopted 750 animals.  Our intake continues to rise despite our efforts to spay and neuter.  The economic crisis has added to the dilemma of animals needing new homes.

EVENT ACTIVITIES

Raffle tickets are being sold now for restaurant gift certificates in the greater Chicagoland area.  $5 each or 5 for $20 - stop in soon. All raffle prizes will be worth a minimum of $25.

Silent Auction items too numerous to mention - gift baskets, tickets, collectibles, food and cooking items, a great time to do your Christmas shopping.  Gift baskets will start as low as $5 and work their way up - something for everyone on your Christmas list.

Paddle auction will be split the pot.
